The Kanazawa Cup took place on Sunday May 25th at the Loreto Sports Complex, Clonmel.

 

Well done to Kenny Mason for getting 2nd place in the Senior Mens Brown & Black belt Kumite.

New Nidan (2nd Dan) For The Club Print

Many congratulations to Philip Elliott on successfully passing his Nidan (2nd Dan) grading on Sunday 4th May.

 

Philip was one of four karate-ka grading for Nidan. Nobuaki Kanazawa Sensei remarked to Philip when he returned his grading book that his Kumite was a very good point during his grading.

10th SKIF World Championships Announced Print

It has been announced by Kancho Kanazawa that the 10th SKIF World Championships will take place in Athens, Greece in 2009.

 

The venue will be the Peace & Friendship Stadium, N. Faliro Piraeus www.sef-stadium.gr

 

The schedule of events is as follows:

Successful Dublin Gradings With Nobuaki Kanazawa Sensei Print

Well done to everyone who successfully passed their gradings with Nobuaki Kanazawa Sensei on Tuesday 29th April at Scoil Muire. There was an impressive turnout for all the training sessions.

 

Club instructors Gearóid Quinn and James Mansfield were presented with their 4th Dan certificates by Nobuaki Kanazawa Sensei.

 

Photos from the event will be available shortly. 

 

Training resumes on Thursday 8th May. Seniors please note there will be a committee meeting after training so your attendance is encouraged.
